BE YOUR OWN CAPTAIN THESE SCHOOL HOLIDAYS: GOBOAT HITS THE SPIT IN MOSMAN

• Premium electric picnic boats available now available for hire at The Spit, Mosman • No boat licence required to hire and operate, no age limit, and with all safety equipment provided • Australian-built GoBoats are environmentally friendly • With up to 8 people on each boat (and dogs allowed!), they are perfect for celebrating special occasions or just for a picnic on the water

Local families and visitors alike will be able to enjoy exploring Sydney’s Middle Harbour, skippering their very own electric picnic boat as GoBoat launches from D’Albora Marina The Spit just in time for the Easter school holidays.

“Were so excited to bring GoBoat’s unique boating experience to Sydney’s north and make the picturesque Middle Harbour more accessible to locals and tourists,” GoBoat Founder Nick Tyrrell said.

“From as little as $19 per person, GoBoat makes getting out on the water easy and affordable for everyone with no boat licence or prior experience required,” he said.

“Every day thousands of people cross the Spit Bridge dreaming of getting out to enjoy some time on the water and it’s now possible without the expense and responsibility of owning your own boat,” he said.

The Scandinavian-designed Australian-made GoBoats have a large, shaded picnic table made from recycled wood and are powered by quiet, fume-free electric engines.

“Accredited as a Sustainable Tourism Operator by the Australian Tourism Industry Council, our state-of-the-art boats are designed to ensure we tread lightly on our precious environment, with zero operating emissions, zero noise pollution and zero waterway erosion all while making plenty of priceless memories.

“These are the perfect boats for a relaxed no-fuss fun day out on the water with family and friends (and your dog if you have one).”

GoBoat was first launched in Canberra in 2017, and since then has expanded to four more sites across Australia and welcomed more than 350,000 guests, including more than 50 wedding proposals.

“Our vision is to make electric boating accessible to everyone with guests from as young as a few weeks old through to those in their hundreds.

GoBoat has been recognised as a leader in the field of eco-tourism and leisure, being featured on national television programs such as Sunrise, Getaway and Travel Guides, as well as being showcased in Tourism Australia commercials highlighting Australia’s enviable tourism offerings to the world.

GoBoat will be sailing out of the D’Albora Marina at The Spit, Mosman from April 2025. To find out more check out Instagram and Facebook and book your cruise via our website.
