Cancellation Protection
Adding our optional Cancellation Protection to your booking is the best way to ensure maximum flexibility for your booking.
For just $19.95 per boat, you can reschedule or cancel up to 4 hours before your booking, giving you the confidence to book knowing your are covered in the case of last-minute emergencies or bad weather.

On the day of your booking
- If it is unsafe to sail at the time of your booking, you will receive a full credit for the value of your booking valid for 12 months.
- If it is safe to sail but you are not comfortable with the weather, a rebooking fee of up to 50% may be deducted from the value of your credit.

Can I reschedule my GoBoat booking?
Yes, you can reschedule your GoBoat booking up to 24 hours before your scheduled departure time without any fees. After this period, a rescheduling fee may apply.
What is Cancellation Protection, and how does it work?
Cancellation Protection is an optional add-on that provides additional flexibility for your GoBoat booking.
With this protection, you can cancel or reschedule your booking up to 4 hours before departure without incurring any additional fees. This means you can receive a full refund or reschedule without penalty, offering greater peace of mind when planning your outing.
I forgot to add Cancellation Protection while booking, can I add it afterwards?
Yes, you can add Cancellation Protection to your booking up to 72 hours before departure, just reply to your booking confirmation email and our friendly team will assist.
I can't see the option to add Cancellation Protection, is it still available?
Cancellation Protection can be added to any new booking made more thann 72 hours before your selected sail-out time. The option will appear when you choose the date and time of your booking.
If you're booking more than 72 hours in advance and don't see the option to add Cancellation Protection, please contact us.
Can I get a refund of the Cancellation Protection?
Cancellation Protection is non-refundable, as it is a service provided for additional flexibility in case of unforeseen changes to your booking.
I have paid for my booking with a voucher or a gift card, can I get a cash refund?
Refunds can only be made to the original payment method.
If your booking is paid completely with a credit voucher or gift card, you will receive a credit voucher for the full booking value (excluding the cost of Cancellation Protection).
If your booking is part paid with a voucher or gift card, you can choose between a partial cash refund for the amount paid by card and the remainder as a credit voucher, or the full booking value as a credit voucher (excluding the cost of Cancellation Protection).
I'm worried the weather might not be good for my booking, what should I do?
We encourage all guests to check the forecast in the lead up to your booking, and use the 'Edit Booking' link in your confirmation email to reschedule if you are concerned about the weather.
Every GoBoat location has different factors that influence how enjoyable and safe it is to be out on the water. Rest assured our team are constantly monitoring conditions and we won't send you out if it isn't safe.
