Is my booking confirmed right away?
When your booking request is received, our team will review and confirm availability as soon as possible. You won't be charged until availability is confirmed.
Do I need to pay a security deposit?
Yes. Just like when you rent a car or stay at a hotel, we will take either a small pre-authorisation on your credit card (Visa/Mastercard only) or hold $500 on your debit card (or cash). The security deposit is for any additional costs experienced during your time onboard and due to the high value of the vessel. We ask GoBoat Luxe is respected at all times.
Any unused security deposit is refunded in full when the hire period has ended and the vessel is undamaged.
Can I be picked up from a different location?
Yes, GoBoat Luxe can accommodate most public docks locations including Flemington, MCG, Melbourne Park, Crown, South Wharf DFO, Docklands and Williamstown; depending on tides and conditions. Please discuss this with GoBoat Luxe crew at the time of booking. Additional fees may apply.
Do I wear shoes onboard?
We recommend guests remove shoes before boarding GoBoat Luxe, unless non marking soled shoes are worn (white/light coloured soles). Please note that high heels/stilettos and dark coloured soled shoes must be removed before boarding.
What is included in hire price?
GoBoat Luxe provides an esky with ice and water; sunscreen and hand sanitiser are also provided on board; GoBoat Luxe is fitted with a speaker system which you can access via your Bluetooth device, you may also bring your own speaker.
When are you open?
GoBoat Luxe is available for charter all year round, subject to availability; excluding Christmas Day. Public Holiday rates apply.
Can I go out at night?
Yes, GoBoat Luxe can be chartered during dusk and evening hours.
How many people can come onboard?
GoBoat Luxe comfortably holds up to eight people, including children.
Can I bring my own food and drink? And what about alcohol?
Yes, you are welcome to bring your own food and alcohol.
Please note that guests may only BYO premix drinks, wines and beers. We cannot allow spirits onboard.
Where can GoBoat Luxe go?
GoBoat Luxe is based from our dock at 1 Banana Alley, Southbank. However, GoBoat Luxe is available for charter from locations anywhere along the Yarra River from Willamstown to Hawthorn and along the Maribyrnong to Flemington Racecourse.
How long can I hire GoBoat Luxe for?
GoBoat Luxe can be hired all day. There is a minimum 2 hour booking fee.
Can I swim off the boat?
No, unfortunately swimming is illegal in the Yarra River.
Can I fish from the boat?
No, in the interest of cleanliness for the people who rent the boat after you, fishing is not allowed from GoBoat Luxe.
What do I bring?
We recommend guests bring a hat and jacket, as well as food and drinks.
Do I need to wear a life jacket?
All safety equipment is included on board. Please let our crew know if you require a child sized life jacket when booking, as it is a requirement that every person under 12 years of age wear a life jacket while onboard.
Can a dog come aboard?
Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted on GoBoat Luxe.
Is there a toilet on board?
No. We recommend you make use of facilities before boarding GoBoat Luxe, however, a toilet stop will be included in your hire period.

What if the weather is poor?
We regularly monitor weather forecasts and radar and will liaise with you ahead of your booking. GoBoat Luxe cannot go ahead during thunderstorms or severe weather.
Can I hire multiple GoBoat Luxe?
We only have one GoBoat Luxe available at this time.
